Hyaluronic acid injections

While collagen may have been a pioneer product in wrinkle filling injection techniques, its use has now been replaced by hyaluronic acid, or Radiesse.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the dermis. It is an essential component of the skin structure as it hydrates the tissues.

As the aging process takes hold, the quality of this hyaluronic acid deteriorates and its quantity decreases causing deterioration of the dermis. This causes dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles.

The cheeks, cheekbones, eye bags and lips lose their firmness, leaving room for wrinkles to appear. Thanks to its filling, volumizing and moisturising effect, hyaluronic acid fills wrinkles and thus restores facial volume.

By a simple intradermal injection of hyaluronic acid, imperfections and wrinkles can be corrected.

Hyaluronic acid (Restylane, Juvederm, Surgiderm, Volbella, Voluma, Glytone) or calcium hydoxyapatite (Radiesse) are not allergens and are fully absorbable. The aesthetic results are immediate on wrinkles and look very natural. It does not require any time out from your social life. Results last anywhere between 9 and 18 months depending on the areas treated.

The injections are not painful, and Doctor Dumas can administer a local anaesthetic if necessary.

Redness, swelling, oedema and bruising in the injected areas are becoming less and less common since injections are almost exclusively carried out via the “soft filling” method, using a microcannula rather than a needle. These microcannulas or "magic needles" have a round tip that do not damage tissue ... Pain and bruising are a thing of the past.

Hyaluronic acid injections cost between 250 and 500€.

What can be treated with hyaluronic acid?

  • fine lines and wrinkles, frown lines,
  • crow’s-feet,
  • wrinkles around the mouth and lips (under local anaesthetic),
  • Cheekbones, circles under the eyes,
  • nasolabial folds,
  • nose, chin.

Macrolane

Macrolane is a reticulated hyaluronic acid in injectable format, which allows corrective treatment of the figure (buttocks, calves). Macrolane / hyaluronic acid injections are carried out under local anaesthetic in an operating theatre but need to be repeated 18 months later.

Similar in price to breast implants, Macrolane injections are not painful and do not leave scars.

Aging of the hands

A painless injection of calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse) or hyaluronic acid rejuvenates skin on the back of the hands by filling the hollows and hydrating the skin. All this can be achieved in just one session. Radiesse is biocompatible and 100% absorbable.

This hand rejuvenation treatment is simple and effective and lasts up to 18 months.

Medical facelift: The Vector Technique

Offered as an alternative to surgical facelifts, medical facelifts smooth nasolabial folds, marionette lines and the oval of the face. This type of medical facelift uses absorbable filler injections, such as Radiesse or hyaluronic acid, and is carried out in a single, painless 1-hour session (under local anaesthetic) using the “vector technique”. To find out more: consult our non-surgical facelift page.

Medical facelift results last around 18 months and do not weigh down the appearance of the face, but rather give an extremely natural-looking result.

This medical facelift is carried out using the Magic Needle soft filling technique, which means the procedure is completely painless and reduces any resulting bruising significantly.
