Botox injections

Botulinum toxin, a preventative treatment for those aged 35+

For those worried about the appearance of their first expression wrinkles, there is a solution to help make them disappear effectively. The word "Botox" has quickly become a generic term, but it is also one of the product’s trade names. Available in France since 2003, Botox is now used in aesthetic medicine.

Areas of skin injected with botulimum toxin become smoother, tighter and wrinkle-free. Consequently, Botox is particularly effective for treating expression wrinkles. Botox is particularly recommended for frown lines between the eyebrows, and forehead wrinkles, as well as crow’s-feet and wrinkles that may appear in the corners of and under the eyes.

The injection is a simple and virtually painless procedure, carried out using a fine needle.

The results of Botox injections can usually be seen after three days, with maximum results usually evident after around fifteen days. They significantly reduce forehead wrinkles and crow’s-feet.

Botox works by reducing muscle contractions and can offer similar results to a frontal facelift. This is a real facelift for wrinkles. However, effects only last a certain amount of time, and treatment generally needs to be repeated once or twice a year.

Botox / Vistabel injections cost 350€ per vial.

The effectiveness of Botox injections is evident, and any drawbacks are limited as patients can return to their normal activities the same day.

It is an interesting alternative procedure, frequently used alone or in combination with other complementary treatments such as hyaluronic acid / Botox injections, pulsed light therapy / Botox, peels / Botox or eyelid and facial surgery.

These therapeutic treatments treat and fight against the appearance of wrinkles.

Axillary hyperhidrosis treatments

As well as treating wrinkles, botulimum toxin, or Botox, is also effective in treating excessive sweating or perspiration in the armpit area, which is often a bothersome and embarrassing problem for patients.

Botox works by locally blocking the sympathetic nervous system, responsible for producing sweat.

This treatment constitutes a real revolution in the treatment of armpit hyperhidrosis and needs to be carried out every 6 months or during warmer times of the year. However, the treatment is not covered by the social security system.
